William Tennent Invitational - Meet Recap
Council Rock South's Marisa Kilgarriff earned the win in the girls' race. The senior went 18:21 to win a close battle over second place Julia Flood of CB West (18:27). It's Kilgarriff's first invitational win of her XC career. Annika Marcelis of Germantown Friends was second in 18:48 and CB West took the next two spots with Piper Wilson (19:06) and Emmi Simon (19:26).
PA No. 4 Central Bucks West scored just 27 points to win the team title, its second invite win of the season. Council Rock South was second with 69 points.
Pennridge's Diego Lera-Lozano took home his second win of the season on Saturday. The junior ran a time of 15:51 -- a PR -- to win the boys' race at Tennent. Downingtown East's Sean McDonald was a close second in 15:52 and Twin Valley's Noah Taylor was third in 15:56.
Downingtown East captured the team win with 74 points by seven points over second place Hatboro-Horsham, which scored 81 points.
