The PIAA State Championships will be run on the modified course on Saturday due to course conditions, the PIAA announced on its website. It has also forced the closure of the course for previews.
"Due to the weather experienced overnight, the course will be closed today for inspection until further notice," the PIAA wrote on its website. "Schools may register and set up tents for tomorrow, but are requested to stay off of the course for maintenance to occur."
Hershey was hit by some heavy rains overnight Thursday into Friday and the weather took its toll on the course.

Registration will still be open on Friday from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., but teams will not be permitted on the course.
The revised course is the same through a little over two miles, but there are changes to the final 1,500 meters or so to avoid areas in the final loop that do not retain water well.
The modified course also take out Poop-Out Hill, the notorious steep final climb with under a quarter mile to go. Instead, the final 600 meters or so of the course features a gradual climb on the side of Poop-Out.
