Meet Preview: PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival

PTFCA Carnival - Boys' Distance Preview

The  800 meters should be a good one at the Carnival. Reigning outdoor national champion Tyler Shue of Ephrata will look to defend his Carnival title in the 8. He ran 1:57 a few weeks ago in Iceland. Now he's back to racing in the US and will look to make moves up the state rankings. Abington's Michael Castor ran an impressive 1:57 at Glen Mills a few weeks ago, and it will be interesting to see what he can do at Lehigh in a competitive field. State College's Sean Adams, WC East's Joshua Lewin, Blue Mountain's Kevin Haas and Saucon Valley's Matthew Chaikowsky are also entered in this deep field.

In the mile, Radnor's Frank Brown and Germantown Academy's Matt Sandifer are the top seeds in what looks to be a pretty open field. Leading the way in the 3K will be Andrew Healey of Holy Cross, Josh Christianson of Scranton, Krystof Lapotsky of Mount Carmel, and Jonathan Thrush of Muhlenberg.

State College Area, Radnor, and Abington are among the top teams entered in the 4x800, while State College is also the top seed in the DMR.
