PTFCA Carnival - Boys' Field Preview
The high jump should be a good matchup between 2018 indoor state champion Kolt Byers of Bermudian Springs and Camdyn Allen of Susquehanna Township. Both have cleared best of 6-4 (PA#8) this season. The long jump will be competitive as well with Athens Area's Benjamin Gambrell (PA#5) and Ephrata's Sam Knowles (PA#7) coming in as the top seeds.
Shikellamy's Mason Brubaker is the one to beat in the pole vault. He's cleared a best of 14-9 this year and enters at PA#6. Byers, Camp Hill's Brody Myers, Bangor's Derek Lasher, Saucon Valley's Nathan Orr have also cleared 14 feet or better this winter.
The shot put is stacked with state medal contenders. Notre Dame-Green Pond's Thomas Kitchell (PA#5), Lewisburg's Josh Gose (PA#6), Wilson's Jack Miller (PA#7), Chambersburg's Brock Harmon (PA#8), and Shippensburg's Nick Gustafson (PA#9) are among the entries ranked inside the top 10 of the state. Look for these boys to push each other to some big puts.
