Districts Throwback: Dammer Cleans Up At D2


Today would have marked the start of Districts Week on the outdoor track and field schedule, where tickets in the PIAA State Championships were set to be punched. The first district meet of the spring would have been the District 2 Championships at Scranton High School.

So, we're flashing back to the D2 Champs two years ago where Abington Heights standout and current Georgetown Hoya, Katie Dammer, put on a show in the distance events.

Dammer split a 2:16 on AH's 4x800 meter relay, then came back to win the 1,600 meters in a meet record time of 4:54.24. She closed out her day winning the 3,200 meters in 10:55.01 and providing a leg on AH's second place-finishing 4x400 meter relay squad.
