Jahvel Hemphill of Bloomsburg made some Pennsylvania history in 2017, becoming part of a select group of PA athletes who have won four straight PIAA state titles in a single event.
Hemphill won the Class AA 100 meters as a freshman, sophomore, junior, and then finally as a senior. Hemphill saved his best for last, clocking a time 10.47 for the victory at Shippensburg to win No. 4.
"I live up to these moments," Hemphill said after the race in 2017. "I love the crowd. The crowd gets bigger every year. I love the hype."
