The PIAA District 1 Championships are taking a one year hiatus from Lehigh University and moving to Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA for this year. The coronavirus pandemic has closed Lehigh's course, so Tyler State Park will fill the void and host the state's largest AAA district championship race.
Tyler is the home course for Council Rock North and it plays host to the annual Council Rock Invitational, which was canceled this season.
We took a video course of the course so teams could get a look at the course ahead of the District 1 Championships, which are scheduled for late October. The course features an opening loop around a main field and a trip up a steep uphill to an outer loop around the park before coming back around, going back down the hill, and doing a reverse loop around the main field to the finish.
