Strong Start For Cumberland Valley Sprinters

The Cumberland Valley boys showed off some impressive sprint depth at the season-opening Tim Cook Memorial Invitational.

In the 400 meters, David Williams of Cumberland Valley earned the win in 49.77. Williams went out hard and held off a hard-charging Isaiah Houser of Shippensburg for the win. Houser clocked a solid time of 49.96 for second. Houser won the 100 meters earlier in the day.

Fast forward to the 200 meters, it was all CV's James Jaisingh. The senior went 22.70 for a convincing win to open up his 2021 campaign.

Then to close out the meet, the CV 4x400-meter relay put forth a dominating performance. In what quickly turned into a solo run, the quartet came home for the win in a time of 3:20.07 -- a very fast time at any time of the season, let alone before the calendar has flipped over to April.

It's just the start of what should be a big season for this squad. It'll be a quick turnaround for CV, which hosts the Bruce Dallas Invitational this coming Saturday on their home track.
