Women's Race Results
LANCASTER, Pa. - Sophomore Lindsey Hollenshead finished second in the 6K race at the Battle for the Buggy on another rain-soaked Saturday from Lancaster County Park with a time of 24:50 while the Shippensburg University women's cross country team earned a third-place team finish.
Shippensburg placed three official runners among the Top 20 while facing adverse course conditions yet again. Hollenshead's performance is a strong showing in advance of next week's conference championship meet.
Sophomore
Steph Sleboda, in her first collegiate cross country season, finished in 10th place with a time of 26:47.
Jenna Gormley ran unattached and finished in 16th place with a time of 27:17 while freshman
Heidi Shuck finished in 20th place with a time of 27:33.
Among the other racers for Shippensburg included redshirt freshman
Courtney Moyer (36th place; 28:41) and junior
Amanda Dubs (41st place; 29:18).
Shippensburg will look to repeat next weekend at the PSAC Championship meet, to be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Edinboro University.
