LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Shippensburg University junior runner Bryan Beegle was named the PSAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by conference officials after his victory on Saturday at the Battle For the Buggy in Lancaster. It is Beegle's second honor this season.

Beegle topped a field of 123 runners in winning this past weekend's race, co-hosted by Elizabethtown College and Millesville University in Lancaster's County Park. Behind Beegle's finish, the Shippensburg men placed second of 17 teams on the 6K course. Beegle registered the only sub-20 minute time at 19:58.81, 14 seconds ahead of the closest competitor.

Shippensburg will compete in the PSAC Championships at 10 a.m. on Saturday from Edinboro University.
