Sometimes, you just need an encore.

This spring, Niles McKinkley (OH) High School's Chante Clinkscale road the wave of a highly-successful senior season all the way up to the OHSAA Division II State Championships, where she earned her first two outdoor victories in the 100m and 200m.

She had won 16 of 18 races over that three-month stretch, her only losses coming on one weekend in April to eventual Division I sprints champion Paige Floriea.

But this weekend's action in Philadelphia presented Clinkscale with an opportunity to run away, unequivocally, with her own star-making appearance.

And she didn't disappoint.

Clinkscale went 2-for-2 at the Penn Relays Summer Series in the 100m and 200m, scorching the Franklin Field track for winning times of 11.78 seconds and 24.77 seconds, respectively.

Perhaps most impressively was her performance in the 200m, where she was the only athlete under 25 seconds.

Clinkscale, a University of Dayton recruit, won in 24.77 seconds.

A day earlier, she was the only athlete under 12 seconds in the 100m, winning in 11.78.
