Meet Preview: PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival

Girls Field Preview - PTFCA Carnival

Long Jump: This one is shaping up to be a great event. Indoor state record holder Avery Lewis of Friends' Central returns to the runway. She's leapt a best of 19-2.75 (PA#1) this winter, and will be looking to improve upon that. State College's Shannon Mullin has been on a tear this season, too. Her best is 18-9 from the Millrose Games and she's PA#2. Shipley's Sabrina Imes (PA#3) and West Chester Rustin's Ava Alexander (PA#5) make this a very stacked event.

High Jump: Spring Ford's Nene Mokonchu comes in a PA#1 with a season best of 5-5. We'll see if she can match or better that on Saturday. Methacton's Addison Gormley is PA#6 and should provide a good challenge to Mokonchu.

Pole Vault: PA#2s will battle it out on the runway Saturday. Solanco's Katie Urbine and Villa Maria's Maddy Kelley will go head-to-head in the pole vault. The two are tied at second in the state with 12-6 clearances this season in the pole vault. Radnor's Sophia Hill is right behind them with a 12-0 best (PA#4), and she will make this interesting. You also can't count out Kennett's Kirstin Hoffman, who has jumped 11-6 (PA#8) this winter.

Shot Put: Three girls inside the state top 10 are entered, led by Mount Carmel's Avery Dowkus, who is PA#6. She will be challenged by PA#7 Leah Eckley of CB East and PA#10 Ester Mokonchu of Spring Ford.
