Meet Preview: PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival

Girls Sprints/Hurdles Preview - PTFCA Carnival

60m: Two of the state's best will go head-to-head in a star-studded field. Spring Grove's Laila Campbell will go up against Germantown Academy's Fore Abinusawa. Two weeks ago, Campbell (PA#2) finished .01 ahead of Abinusawa (PA#3) at the Millrose Games with Campbell running 7.45 and Abinusawa clocking a 7.46. We'll see if these girls can improve upon those times. Also in the field is Cheltenham's Eyota Bey (PA#5) and West Chester East's Chinonye Moneme (PA#8), so this final should be humming.

200m: If you thought the 60m was star-studded, just wait until the 200m, which will feature Campbell, Friends' Central's Avery Lewis, Bey, Abinusawa, and Cumberland Valley's Mia Boardman. Though it's on a flat track, we should expect plenty of fast times out of this event. Campbell has run 24.83 and Lewis has run 25.04 on flat tracks this season, so this one should be a thriller as well.

400m: Micah Trusty of Friends' Central enters the meet at PA#2 in the 400m and she'll be the top seed on Saturday in the event at the Carnival. Cumberland Valley's Riley Ebersole and Chester's Alina LaForest should keep this close and we should see some fast flat track times here.

60m Hurdles: Haverford's Aubrey Leneweaver (PA#6) and Central Bucks South's Felicia Oh (PA#9) are the ones to watch here in what should be a good final.

Relays: Cumberland Valley (PA#3) has been strong in the 4x400m relay all season, and they will look to keep that rolling on Saturday. PA#8 Easton Area will aim to challenge CV. Then in the 4x200, Cumberland Valley and Great Valley should be a tremendous matchup. CV (PA#4) has run .02 faster than GV (PA#5) this winter.
