Justin Rogers finishes ninth at U20 World Championships

The Pennsylvania pole vault state record holder has added another impressive accomplishment to his young resume.

In May, Justin Rogers (Hershey) won the PIAA State Championship with a record jump of 17 feet, 3 inches. Today, he competed at the World Athletics U20 Championships, to conclude what has been a remarkable season for the 2022 graduate.

Rogers cleared the opening height of 4.90m (16 feet, 1 inch) with ease on his first vault. He then cleared in two of his next five attempts to surpass 5.15m (16 feet, 10.75 inches) and place ninth in a stacked U20 field.

Rogers qualified for today's final after he finished ninth in Tuesday's qualifying round with a vault of 5.05m (16 feet, 6.75 inches). He is set to attend the University of Virginia this fall where he will compete for the Cavaliers.
