AAA Boys 100m

The triple A side of the meet will prove to have some of the fastest and tightest competition in the entire meet. The 100m could truly be anybody's race as there are twenty-five (yes 25) boys that ran sub 11 second efforts.

The best effort goes to a sophomore from Susquehanna, Lex Cyrus comes in as the fastest seed with his new personal best of 10.45. He has yet to lose over 100m this season and can continue that dominance this weekend.

Kaevon Gardner (New Castle) has the next best time of 10.70. He has run sub 11 times in 8 out of 10 of his 100m races. Jesse Myers (State College) makes the third seed at 10.72.

Outside of seed times, Dylan Simon (Parkland) makes it into the field and runs the fourth fastest time this season of 10.58 and could push for a state title. Gabe Lewis (Cedar Crest) is the only one to have made the final last year and return for prelims this year.

With so many young men running within hundredths of seconds of each other, the 100m will be one of the most exciting events of the weekend

AAA Boys 200m

This race features nineteen boys that have run sub 22 efforts. Perhaps the most dominant of them all: Conor McFadden (Central Bucks West). McFadden is the reigning indoor 200m champion and he enters as the favorite in 21.47. He also owns the third fastest time in the state with 21.25.

The next closest to McFadden is Chase Morgan of Shikellamy with 21.62. He ran the fifth fastest time in the state so far in 21.58.

Lex Cyrus will be one of a few competitors with a good shot at double titles as he enters as the top 100m seed and third best 200m. His new personal best time of 21.64 has him as the three seed. Lavar Jackson, the senior from Upper Darby, will aim for a podium finish with his seed time of 21.67.

AAA Boys 400m

Another loaded sprint event that features 9 boys that have broken the 49 second barrier. Zyan Greene (Bensalem) is the only boy entered under 48 though after he won District I in 47.88. Greene has yet to lose over 400m and to continue his streak of dominance he'll have to stave off some formidable 400m foes.

The junior, AJ Glavicic (Strath Haven) comes in right behind him at 48.00. You can't count out Tyler Abraham (Abington), the 2023 indoor 400m champion, who is in as the third fastest seed in 48.01.

Walton Garnett (Chester) is in at 48.10 and has run 47.96 the fourth fastest time in the state this season. Jesse Myers sneaks his way into the prelims with a seed of 48.94. He has run the fastest time in the state this season in 47.48.

Asad Reese (Imhotep Institute Charter) is another to watch who is in at 48.69. He made the AA 400m final last season. Kelly Bell (Downingtown West) is in at 48.59. Preston Lubeski (West Chester Henderson) and Colin Kravitz (North Pocono) both made the AAA 400m final last season and will return for prelims this year.

AAA Boys 4x100m

The 4x100m will be one of the races that will really come down to the wire. Susquehanna Township sits above the rest of the competitors with their state leading 41.79 which they ran for a win at District III.

Cedar Crest will be looking for revenge as they took second to Susquehanna and were seventh in last year's finals. They're seed of 41.92 is the second fastest in the state. Chambersburg has a slight edge over Parkland for the number three spot despite both teams running 41.96 at their district meets. Parkland has sole possession of the third fastest time in the state with 41.94.

Some teams to not sleep on: Roman Catholic, who have had impressive showings at Penn Relays, and Spring Ford.

AAA Boys 4x400m

The top four seed times all go to teams from District 1. Abington sits in firm control of the 4x400m. They've been dominant all season and will look to continue that at the state meet. The reigning indoor champions hold the fastest time in the state and a US #21 of 3:14.62.

Abington got the better of the 2 seed Central Bucks West just last weekend. CB West ran 3:16.47. The third fastest time goes to the boys of Spring Ford and their PA #3 of 3:18.01. Cheltenham rounds out the fastest times after running 3:18.52.

The District 4 champions, Shamokin Area, will be the fifth seed after running a time of 3:19.68.
