9/18-Altoona boys, Oakland Catholic girls win @ Altoona Invitational

The Oakland Catholic girls did manage to make the trip from Pittsburgh despite the flooding, along with District 8 power Allderdice, and the effort paid off. Oakland tallied just 51 points to win the team title, with Allderdice 13 back for second. Oakland placed three in the top nine, lead by sophomore Molly Goldcamp, who won the race in 21:01. The Altoona boys defended their own turf, with junior James Cherry taking 4th in 18:19. Five Altoona runner finished in the top 17. Greensburg-Salem was 2nd behind a two-three finish by seniors Elijah Depassio and Adam Laubham. But it was Dover junior Josh Snelbaker who captured the win, going 17:32.
