LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Slippery Rock University baseball team opened its annual spring-break trip to Florida with a doubleheader split vs. Rockhurst (Ill.).
The Rock won Game 1 by a 3-2 score but blew a 5-1 lead and fell by a 15-6 score in Game 2.
The split gave the Green and White a 3-3 record this spring as it prepares for a doubleheader Saturday against perennial national power Ashland (Ohio) University.
