KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The Slippery Rock University women's softball team dropped a pair of games to Ohio rivals Sunday in first-day action of the Rebel Games.

SRU lost a 2-1 decision to Ashland University in its first game of the day, then lost a 7-5 decision to Tiffin.

The losses dropped SRU's season record to 2-2 heading into a pair of games Monday. The Rock plays C.W. Post at 3 p.m. and Seton Hill at 5 p.m.

Lindsey Grace (1-1) was the Game 1 losing pitcher for SRU. She allowed five hits and walked two in a complete-game effort and faced only 28 batters, seven over the minimum possible in seven innings.

In the second game, Shaylee Ianno (1-1) allowed three hits, struck out five and walked three in the first four innings and was tagged with the loss. Shauna Walker finished the game and allowed one hit.
