SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The women's tennis match between 44th-ranked Slippery Rock University and eighth-ranked California scheduled for Tuesday in California has been postponed until 5 p.m. Wednesday, team officials announced Tuesday morning.
The match will determine the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division champion, which carries with it a first-round bye in the conference playoffs.
SRU takes an eight-match win streak, a 16-3 overall record and a 4-0 PSAC-West mark into the match, while the Vulcans are 18-5 overall and 4-0 vs. division foes.
Following Wednesday's match at California, The Rock will turn its attention to Thursday's 1:30 p.m. home match against West Virginia State. That will be the final match on this year's regular-season schedule.
SRU is ranked third in the latest intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Atlantic Regional poll, while California is the No. 1 team and West Virginia State is the No. 7 team.
