LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Junior Andrew Campolongo achieved 5,760 points and placed third in the decathlon this weekend while the jumpers and hurdlers for Shippensburg performed well on Saturday afternoon to highlight a steady performance by a split squad of the Red Raider track and Field team from the Elliston Track and Field Invitational hosted by Lock Haven University.

Shippensburg split its squad this weekend, dispatching its sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers to Lock Haven while the mid-distance and distance runners joined the throwers at Princeton.

Campolongo now ranks sixth in the conference with his effort. He thrived in the 100-meter dash, achieving SU's best time in the event this season (11.14 seconds) while performing well in the javelin, pole vault and the long jump as well.

In fact, three Red Raiders recorded season-bests in the long jump. Freshman Kyle Dickinson jumped 23 feet, 2 inches and now ranks fourth in the PSAC. Campolongo leapt 23 feet, 1.25 inches while competing in multis and now slots fifth in the conference. Sophomore John Clark jumped 22 feet, 11.25 inches.

Sophomore Greg Osmolenski recorded a season-best pole vault of 14 feet, 7.25 inches that now ranks him seventh in the PSAC. Senior Donnie Graybill was the team's leading vaulter by clearing 15 feet, 7 inches.

Saturday's competition is the last for the Raider squad before the 2010 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships begin on Thursday, May 13 from West Chester University. Select athletes may compete in a Last Chance Qualifier next weekend.
