Rachel Knapp and Tayler McCracken each picked up wins on the track and Jen Hansen, Kara Hatchett and Jess Koerner picked up victories in the field events to lead the Slippery Rock University women's track and field team at the SRU Qualifier Friday evening at the Bill Lennox Track.

Knapp crossed the line first in the 100-meter dash, posting a time of 12.83 seconds. McCracken followed that with a win in the 200m dash, crossing the line in a season-best time of 26.70 seconds.

Hansen topped the field in the pole vault with her second-best clearance of the season at 3.90 meters.

Hatchett won the long jump with a leap of 5.23 meters, while Koerner bested the field in the hammer throw with a season-best toss of 48.67m.

Koerner was joined in the hammer by Rachel Weber in second at 43.73m and Cassie Carrow in third at 43.53m.

Weber also placed second in the shot put with a toss of 12.47 meters, while Kim Stitt followed in third at 11.99m.

Stitt also placed third in the javelin with a throw of 38.08m.

Emily Gusew placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:25.14.

The fast heat of the women's 100-meter hurdles finished in blistering times, but the marks will not stand as records or national qualifiers due to an illegal wind reading of 4.4 during the heat. Amanda Seigworth placed second in 14.08 seconds, with Allison Smith finishing third in 14.59 seconds.

Jayme Stanek placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.66.

Jessica Ferrick rounded out the top-three finishers with a third-place showing in the long jump with a leap of 5.03m.

Many of The Rock's top athletes did not compete Friday, as the SRU Qualifier was the final tune-up for SRU before heading to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships, which will take place May 13-15 at West Chester University.
