CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships were postponed Friday after thunderstorms forced a delay of over five hours.

NCAA officials made the call around 10 p.m. Friday's events will likely be rescheduled for Saturday morning, making a double-session on the final day of the meet. Saturdays event schedule will likely remain unchanged.

The Rock has three athletes that were scheduled to compete Friday.

Jen Hansen will compete in the pole vault, while Kim Stitt will compete in the triple jump and Amanda Seigworth will compete in the 100-meter hurdles. Seigworth is also qualified for the 400-meter hurdle finals in the evening session Saturday.
