was selected to the 2009-10 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Second Team for the College Division of District II, which encompasses all Division II, Division III, NAIA and junior colleges in the states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Beegle, a junior criminal justice major with a 3.77 grade-point average (GPA), was the team's top runner during the cross country season and an integral factor in Shippensburg winning its first Atlantic Region Championship this season from Mansfield. The two-time USTFCCCA Cross Country Academic Squad member was the second-fastest SU runner at the national championships and finished 73rd overall.

The Gettysburg native was a three-time conference placewinner during the track and field seasons. Beegle thrived during the outdoor campaign; winning the PSAC individual title in the 5K with a time of 14:52.88 and finishing as an All-PSAC runner-up in the 3K steeplechase. His steeplechase time of 9:14.17 at Penn Relays was an NCAA-provisional qualifying mark.
