NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Allegheny's Chris Marker ran a provisional time while placing seventh in the men's 5,000-meter run while Lauren Butler finished fourth in the women's javelin at North Central's Gregory Outdoor Track and Field Invitational on Thursday and Friday.

Already an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Division III Championships, Marker clocked in at 14:46.66 in the 5K on day one of the meet.

Butler's toss of the javelin came on Friday. The spear traveled 121 feet, 3 inches (36.97 meters).

Also on Friday, men's 400 runner Taylor Throckmorton ran to sixth place with a time of :49.55. In the women's 400, Gators Beth Muller (:58.50) and Rebecca Lendyak (:59.44) placed seventh and ninth, respectively.
