2010 Cross Country Schedule

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg has released its 2010 men's and women's cross country schedule. Both programs, under the guidance of head coach Steve Spence, are seeking defenses of 2009 Atlantic Region Championships and return most of the Top 6.

The annual SU Alumni Meet kicks off the season on September 4. The teams will have a meet once every two weeks until having back-to-back competitions in late October. Among the early meets is a trip to Carlisle High School on September 18 for the Dickinson Long/Short Invite.

One of the most important early season races will occur on October 2, when the squads travel to Louisville for the Division II Pre-Nationals meet. This year's championships will be held December 4 at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville with Bellarmine University serving as the host institution of the 2010 Division II Fall Championships Festival. 

On November 6, the PSAC Championships will be conducted with California (Pa.) serving as the host institution. The women will be seeking their third consecutive PSAC title while the men will pursue that elusive first-place finish.

The Atlantic Region Championships will be held on November 20 from Cary, N.C. with St. Augustine's serving as the host institution.
