BEREA, Ohio (May 29) – Waynesburg University finished its run at this year's NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.
Two days after junior Elisha Jones earned her second All-American honor in the javelin, sophomore Krystal Baker competed in the triple jump. The second-year standout, who was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Year, tied for 16th in the event with a distance of 11.16 meters (38' 3”).
Yellow Jacket sophomore Marybeth Rocco also competed in the national championships and just missed out on All-American status after placing ninth in the javelin. Jones placed sixth.
After three days of competition at Baldwin-Wallace College, the Jackets finished in a tie for 54th place out of 77 schools competing. Illinois Wesleyan took the team title.
