SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team will host an inaugural golf outing this fall at the Spring Valley Golf Club and Lounge in Mercer, head coach Noreen Herlihy has announced.

The outing will raise funds exclusively for the women's soccer program.

“We're excited to provide our fans, alums, families and friends with this chance to come out and have some fun while supporting our program,” said Herlihy.

The outing is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 3 with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

Registration fees will be $85 per golfer, with an early registration fee of $75 for registrations received by Aug. 20.

Included in the fee are greens fees and cart, an entry gift, dinner and an awards ceremony.

Team prizes will be awarded to the top two teams, while prizes will also be awarded for various skill holes and par 3 challenges.

The field will be limited to 36 teams or 144 golfers.

Dobil Laboratories, Inc is sponsoring the inaugural event.
