BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Sept. 1) – Freshman Bre Paul made a great first impression on her teammates as she led the Waynesburg women's cross country team at a tri-meet against Geneva and Thiel.
The first-year runner placed first overall with a time of 21:40. Another Yellow Jacket rookie posted a solid performance as Tiffany Onifer crossed the finish line in 22:17, good for fourth overall. Junior Michelle Naymick also added a top-five performance with a time of 22:30, placing her fifth in the field.
The Jacket women, finished in second place overall, just a few points behind Geneva, which finished first overall as a team.
Waynesburg returns to competition on Saturday, Sept. 4, when it travels to Greensburg, Pa. to take part in the Seton Hill Griffin Classic.
