SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – A resurgent performance by senior Jamie McCollum was one of the many highlights for the Shippensburg University women's cross country on Saturday morning as the Lady Raiders impressed at the Galen E. Piper Alumni/Open Cross Country Challenge on the SU home course.

McCollum won the meet with an impressive time of 15:24, distancing herself from a pack of runners over the final 800 meters. Freshman Allison Constant was just five second behind, finishing second in 15:29. Another freshman, Megan Rhyner, took third place in 15:36.

Sophomore Hannah Lash earned fourth place with a time of 15:47, while Jenna Gormley was the top alumni finisher in 15:50. SU's fifth scoring runner was freshman Patty Reis.
