PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University volleyball team earned its first win of the season with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-14) victory over Pitt-Johnstown Wednesday on day one of the Point Park University Volleyball Pioneer Invitational.

The Rock (1-5) has now won two consecutive meetings against The Lady Cats (1-2) dating back to 2008.

Slippery Rock will look to conclude the Pioneer Invitational with its second and third victories of the season on Saturday against Seton Hill at 12 p.m. and host Point Park University at 4 p.m.
