SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University Head Men's Basketball Coach Kevin Reynolds announced Thursday he and members of his program will host an Alumni Weekend event Oct. 22-24 as part of SRU's Homecoming Weekend festivities.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 with an alumni basketball game in Morrow Field House. Former Rock assistant coach Bob "Posey" Rhoads will coach one of the teams. Another special guest will serve as the opposing coach. Cost to participate is $100 in the form of a contribution to the SRU Men's Basketball Program." Light refreshments will follow the game and precede the Homecoming Weekend bonfire set to start at 9 p.m.

On Saturday, Oct. 23, men's basketball alumni and friends will gather at 9 a.m. at the Russell Wright Alumni House and Conference Center for coffee, tea and hot chocolate and gather to march in the Homecoming Parade slated to start at 10 a.m.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the Annual Pre-Game Alumni Tailgate Tent sponsored by Liberty Mutual Insurance will open adjacent to N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.

Men's basketball alumni and friends will then move to Thompson Stadium to sit as a group for The Rock's 2 p.m. football game vs. Lock Haven.
