SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's soccer team earned a 3-1 win over Seton Hill Saturday in non-conference action at Egli Field.

Anthony Paganie finished the game with a goal and an assist and Jeremy Feehan and Patrick Conley each scored goals to lead SRU.

With the win, Slippery Rock improves to 7-2-1 overall on the season. Seton Hill drops to 2-4-1.

The Rock finished the game with advantages in every statistical category, posting a 20-13 edge in total shots, including an advantage of 7-4 in shots on goal. SRU was awarded seven corner kicks, including five in the second half. Seton Hill was awarded two corners, both in the first half.

Feehan scored the opening goal of the game in the 41st minute when he headed in a corner kick from Paganie to send the game to halftime with SRU leading 1-0.

Seton Hill equalized in the 48th minute when Macdonald Taylor Jr. scored into the left side of the net after an initial shot from Matt Luchetti was blocked.

The Rock jumped back out in front in the 67th minute when Thomas Pool played a long ball from the Seton Hill zone ahead to Paganie, who beat two defenders and found the upper left corner of the net.

Paganie's goal would stand as the game-winner, but SRU added an insurance tally in the 85th minute when Conley scored on a penalty kick attempt after the Griffins were called for handball in the box.

Greg Blum made four saves in the winning effort. Jon DeLuca was credited with the loss after allowing three goals and recording four saves.

Slippery Rock is back in action with its second consecutive non-conference game Tuesday, Oct. 5, when it travels to Ohio Dominican for a 2 p.m. match.
