The youth of PA athletes are here, and with the outdoor season in full swing, the talent of these young athletes is on full display.

Pennsylvania high school track and field athletes recorded several personal bests during competition from March 31 through April 3.

Kirk Douglas (Susquehanna Township) cleared 6-4 in the high jump at the dual meet against Lower Dauphin on March 31, improving from his previous best of 5-8. The mark ranks him #55 in Pennsylvania and earned second place among nine competitors. Douglas also set personal records in the long jump (18-1, up from 17-3.5) and triple jump (39-1, up from 33-2) at the same meet.

Liam Kremer (Daniel Boone) threw 144-8 in the discus at the home meet against Schuylkill Valley on March 31, bettering his previous mark of 123-3.5. The throw places him #136 among Pennsylvania discus throwers and finished second of 10 competitors. Kremer also recorded personal bests in shot put (39-6.5, up from 35-1.5) and javelin (104-7, up from 92-0).

Joshua Louck (Jim Thorpe Area) ran 10.70 in the 100 meters at the dual meet against Northern Lehigh on March 31, improving from 11.20. The time breaks the school record and ranks #35 in the state and #11 among seniors. Louck won the race among 12 competitors and also set a personal record in javelin with 151-1, up from 133-6.

Sylvester Shaw (McDowell) jumped 22-2.5 in the long jump at the Lancer Relays on April 2, improving from his February 2026 best of 20-11. The mark ranks #84 in Pennsylvania and #37 among seniors, earning second place among 39 competitors. Shaw also recorded a personal best in triple jump with 41-4, up from 41-3.

Josh Mruk (Wyoming Area) threw 56-2.5 in the shot put at the dual meet against Northwest on March 31, improving from 51-6. The throw sets a school record and ranks #24 in the state and #12 among seniors. Mruk won the event among three competitors.

Charlie Hegarty (Upper Darby) ran 1:57.98 in the 800 meters at the Green Raider Invitational on April 1, improving from 2:01.48. The time ranks #118 in Pennsylvania and #33 among seniors, earning second place among 84 competitors.  

Hunter Pitcavage (Dallas) threw 205-6.75 in the javelin at the Pepsi Florida Relays on April 3, improving from his March 2026 mark of 200-11. The throw sets a school record and ranks #4 in the state and #1 among juniors, finishing second among 15 competitors.
