GROVE CITY, Pa. – The 30th-ranked Slippery Rock University women's tennis closed out its fall schedule Friday with a 6-3 win over neighboring Grove City College.
Juniors
Dunja Drmac and
Sarah Lynch and sophomore
Janelle Krantz were each a double winner for The Rock, which will take a 4-0 record into the spring portion of its schedule.
Drmac and Lynch teamed up for an 8-3 win in the No. 1 doubles match. Lynch then won a 6-3, 6-3 decision in the No. 1 singles match, while Drmac reigned by a 6-2, 6-0 score in the No. 2 doubles match.
Krantz and redshirt freshman
Elisabeth Yetiskul won the No. 2 doubles match by an 8-5 score before Krantz claimed a 6-4, 6-1 win in the No. 4 singles match.
Freshman
Samantha Bruggeman's 6-3, 6-0 win in the No. 6 singles match rounded out The Rock's points.
