SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team held Charleston without a single shot en route to a 2-0 win Wednesday at Thompson Stadium. The Rock pushed its current unbeaten streak to 10 games with the win.

Wednesday's game was Senior Day for The Rock (12-3-2), with Alison Hindley, Rachel Knapp, Dana Kiger, Ashley Paganie and Juliana Howell being honored prior to the game.

The seniors shined in the game, with Paganie leading the way with a goal and an assist and Howell scoring her first goal of the season.

Charleston (11-5-1) struggled to find an offensive groove in the game, failing to register a single shot.

Howell opened the scoring in the 20th minute when she scored into the lower right corner of the net off a crossing pass from Paganie.

Paganie added the second goal of the game in the 37th minute when she fired a shot from 25 yards out that sailed over Charleston keeper Kendra Ness' head to put The Rock up 2-0.

Slippery Rock, which remained fifth in the Atlantic Region rankings released by the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Committee Wednesday, finished the game with advantages of 16-0 in total shots, 8-0 in shots on goal and 8-0 in corner kicks.

Dana O'Neill picked up her seventh shutout of the season, but did not have to make a save. Ness took the loss for Charleston after recording five saves in the first half. Catherine Perry played the second half and made one save.

The Rock will close the regular season Saturday at Lock Haven before opening the PSAC playoffs the next week. SRU's matchup in the first round of the playoffs will not be determined until the conclusion of Saturday's conference games.
