LOCK HAVEN, Pa.
– Five members of the Slippery Rock University women's soccer team were named to All-Conference honors Wednesday in a release from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Danielle Turner, Alison Hindley and Emer Flatley were all named to second team honors, while Kara Mullins and Rachel Knapp garnered third team accolades.

The All-PSAC squad is voted on by the league's head coaches and includes three teams of four forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and one goalkeeper.

Hindley, a senior from Cheshire, England, is the only repeat selection of the five Rock honorees and is now a three-time All-PSAC performer. She earns the honor for the first time as a midfielder after playing forward in each of the previous three seasons.

Moving back to the midfield this season, Hindley was still able to produce in an offensive role, tallying three goals and five assists for 11 points, her fourth consecutive season of 10-plus points.

Hindley ranks fourth all-time in Slippery Rock history with 34 career goals and 78 career points.

Turner, a freshman from Cheshire, England, earns second team honors as a forward. She has had an outstanding freshman campaign, scoring four goals and handing out five assists to rank third on the team in scoring with 13 points.

Turner has two game-winning goals on the year and scored both goals in Slippery Rock's 2-1 win over Bloomsburg in the PSAC quarterfinals. She was nominated for PSAC Freshman of the Year.

Flatley, a sophomore from Galway, Ireland, earns her first All-Conference honor as a defender. She has appeared in 18 games with 15 starts this season and has helped to anchor a defense that is allowing just 0.81 goals per game.

Flatley flew home to Ireland for a family matter the week before the PSAC playoffs, but boarded a plane back to Philadelphia the night before the PSAC semifinal at West Chester. Arriving after 9 p.m. Thursday night from Ireland, she started and played the full 110 minutes against West Chester Friday, capping the game by converting her penalty kick attempt in the shootout.

Knapp, a senior from Milton, Pa., earns her first career All-Conference honor as a defender. She has started in 19 games this season and works with Flatley as a center back to anchor The Rock's defense. SRU has allowed just 17 goals in 20 games this season and has recorded 11 shutouts.

Knapp has also tallied two goals and two assists this season for six points. She scored the go-ahead goal on a corner kick against West Chester in the PSAC semifinals, a goal that ended up securing a 2-2 tie in the match.

Mullins, a freshman from Galway, Ireland, earns third team honors as a forward after ranking fourth on the team in scoring with five goals and two assists.

Mullins, who suffered an injury after 14 games and has not played since, scored three game-winning goals for SRU this season.

Slippery Rock, ranked No. 22 in the latest Division II national rankings, has reeled off a school record 13 consecutive games without a loss and owns a record of 13-3-4 on the season.

The Rock was selected to compete in the NCAA Division II National Tournament for the sixth time in the program's history. SRU earned the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic Region and will face No. 6 West Virginia Wesleyan in the first round, Friday at 1 p.m. at No. 2 seed California (Pa.).

The winner of the SRU-Wesleyan game will face California (Pa.) Sunday at 1 p.m. with a trip to the regional final on the line.
