Senior guard Jabril Bailey scored with 2.5 seconds left to play Friday night to lift the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team to a 68-67 win over Dominican (N.Y.) College in the opening game of the Nyack College tournament.

The win was SRU's third straight after back-to-back losses in the opening games of the 2010-11 season, while Dominican lost for the sixth time in as many games this season.

Bailey finished the game with a team-high 23 points and seven rebounds, with 17 of the points coming in the final half of action.

Junior guard Devin Taylor scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds, senior forward Maron Brown had 10 points and six rebounds and sophomore guard John Bayardelle handed out six assists to complement Bailey's effort.

SRU did not score its first points of the game until 5:30 had elapsed off the game clock and trailed by a 34-27 margin at halftime.

Further details on the game were not available.

The Rock returns to action at 4 p.m. Saturday, when it will take on the tournament's host team, Nyack.

Saturday's game will be the third of five straight road games for the Green and White, whose next home game is Dec. 29 against Ohio University Eastern.
