Meet Results

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – In the first meet of the 2010-11 indoor track and field season the men's team placed 9th out of 14 teams, while the women's team also finished in 9th place out of a 15 team field Saturday afternoon at the First Annual Ursinus College Bow-Tie Classic.

Formerly known as the Ursinus College Winter Invitational, the college recently renamed their season opening meet to the Bow-Tie Classic in honor of former Ursinus College President John Strassburger who passed away in September.

The women's shot put saw sophomore Lindsay Boyd take 15th place with her toss of 29 feet and 11 inches. Also competing in the shot put was Christine Pallas who earned a 27th place finish with a distance of 27 feet 4 inches.

On the men's side Sean Potter earned the Lions best time in the 55 meter dash and 200 meter dash which earned him a 12th (6.86) and 16th place finish (24.80). Distance runner Sam Marcotte took 15th place in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:12.04. In the pole vault Clark Runciman finished in ninth with his jump of 11-70.
