ANNVILLE, Pa. – For her standout performance at the Ursinus College Bow-Tie Classic, freshman sprinter Danisha Higgs has been named the first MAC Track and Field player of the week of the indoor season as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Higgs, a native of the Bahamas had a sensational collegiate debut as she nearly broke the school record for the 55 and 200 meter dash. She placed fourth in the 55 with a time of 7.60 seconds, and later won the 200 with a time of 26.63 seconds. She also competed on the 4x200 relay team, which placed seventh overall.
