2010 Indoor and outdoor AAA Shot Put State Champion Rachel Serafin of Hempfield Area (7) has commited to attend and compete for the University of Louisville on a T&F scholarship. Former Hempfield Area (7) thrower Weston Banks currently attends Louisville. Serafin threw 47-03.75 to win the PTFCA Indoor State Meet, and 44-03.25 to win the AAA title at the PIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
