SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University head women's soccer coach Noreen Herlihy has announced the date and title sponsor for the second annual SRU Women's Soccer Golf Outing. This year's outing is scheduled for May 21 and will be co-sponsored by Dobil Laboratories, Inc and Allegheny Safe & Lock.

"We want to thank Dobil Laboratories for their gracious support again this year," said Herlihy. "Their support has been crucial to helping us make this outing a great success and we are very happy to have them back on board this year. We're also very pleased to announce that Allegheny Safe & Lock has joined us as a co-sponsor this year. Their contributions will help to make this year's outing even better."

This year's outing will be the second for the SRU women's soccer team, which had great success last fall with the inaugural event. A total of 67 golfers took part in the tournament, which included 18 holes of golf at the Spring Valley Golf Club in Mercer and a steak dinner.

The 2011 outing will again be played at Spring Valley and will feature a 9 a.m. shotgun start, preceded by a coffee and donut breakfast beginning with registration at 8 a.m.

The cost per golfer is set at $85, which includes cart and greens fees for 18 holes, entry in contest holes, a gift from SRU women's soccer and a steak dinner and awards ceremony. The field will be limited to 36 teams, or 144 golfers.
