SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University head field hockey coach #Julie (Zoolkoski) Swiney# has announced that a Nike Field Hockey Camp will take place at Slippery Rock July 11-14.

The Nike Field Hockey Camp will be open to girls between the ages of 10-18 and will offer extended day and overnight options at separate prices.

Overnight campers will check in July 11 and check out July 14 with the total cost of the camp, including instruction, room and all meals, set at $425. Extended day campers will be on campus from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for a rate of $325, which includes instruction, lunch and dinner each day.

Swiney and SRU assistant coach Megan Eckenrode will be the camp directors. Current members of the SRU field hockey team will assist them.

The camp is designed to be an all-skills camp, with some of the focus being on offensive and defensive skills, game situations and small game strategies. Campers will be trained individually in all major fundamentals of the game.
