COMPLETE RESULTS
Bethlehem, Pa. (Feb. 26, 2011) - The Track and Field team closed out the indoor season at the MAC Championships on Saturday. The Crusader's effort was led by
Amanda Searle (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional) and her third place finish in the shot put. Searle's effort gained her First Team All-MAC honors, made her the first female athlete to score points at the MAC Championships, and broke her school record. Searle also threw a season's-best in the weight throw, improving by almost twofeet.
Steph Coleman (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) also broke her own school record in the 55m hurdles, placing ninth in the event; her time just outside of making the final. Coleman teamed with
Codi-Amanda Herr (East Petersburg, Pa./Hempfield),
Jessica Weiss (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts)and
Erin Stone (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) to break the 4x200m relay record for the second consecutive week. The quartet was able to cut twomore seconds off their previous best and earned a eighth place finish in the event.
Two more individual school records were broken during the weekend. Chynelle Washington, coming off of her dual record performance last week, bettered her previous time and the school record in the 200 by almost a second.
Dillon Emery (Locustdale, Pa./North Schuylkill) also had a huge improvement in the weight throw, bettering his personal best and school record by almost two feet.
The indoor season closes with the Crusaders seeing 37 school records set and countless individual personal bests. The Crusaders will be back in action for the outdoor season on March 19th at West Chester University.
