Those tickets are good for both semifinal games and the title game Saturday at 7 p.m. Fans that attend just Saturday's final can purchase tickets Saturday for $8 for adults and $3 for students. All current Slippery Rock University students will be admitted free to all games with valid ID.

How They Got Here: Slippery Rock, the No. 3 seed in the PSAC-West, defeated Mercyhurst 51-45 in the quarterfinals Tuesday night in Erie. The Rock held the Lakers to just 3-of-25 shooting and 14 total points in the second half.

Cheyney upset Mansfield in the final regular season game of the year just to clinch the No. 4 seed in the PSAC-East. The Wolves then traveled to top-seeded Mansfield for the quarterfinals and eliminated the Mountaineers, 77-75, in dramatic fashion. With the game tied at 75-75, Sharif Bray was fouled with 2.6 second left on the clock. He knocked down both free throws to provide the winning points.

Major Stakes: This game will have huge implications for both teams as they try to bolster their resumes before the NCAA Division II Selection Committee selects the national tournament field Sunday night. Cheyney was ranked No. 9 in the final regular season regional rankings, while Slippery Rock was No. 10. Only the top eight teams in the region will qualify.

Since those rankings came out, both teams have helped their causes. SRU claimed a road win over No. 4 seed Mercyhurst, while Cheyney claimed a road win over No. 7 Mansfield.

First Meeting: This will be the first meeting between these two teams this season, as they did not meet during the PSAC crossover schedule in early January.

Series History:
This will mark the 10th consecutive season in which SRU and Cheyney have met on the hardwood. Slippery Rock claimed a 96-86 win last season, but Cheyney was victorious in seven of the previous eight meetings. In last season's game, Maron Brown and Jabril Bailey each recorded double-doubles to lead SRU to its 10th win of the season. Bray scored a game-high 31 points to lead Cheyney in the losing effort.

Back to the Playoffs: Slippery Rock is making its second trip to the PSAC semifinals in the last three years after reaching the semifinals two seasons ago. The Rock's only conference title came back in 1963 when Hank Baierl coached the team to a 74-73 win over Mansfield. In 15 trips to the PSAC playoffs, Slippery Rock has reached the semifinals 11 times, including each of the last five appearances (1963, 65, 72, 78, 82, 84, 90, 91, 2000, 09, 11).

Final Four Schedule: SRU and Cheyney will open competition at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Indiana, the No. 1 seed in the west, will host East Stroudsburg in the other semifinal. Tip in that game is tentatively set for 7:30 p.m. There will be a mandatory 30 minute warm-up time after the conclusion of the first game.
