FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The 23rd-ranked Slippery Rock University women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win Friday over hosting Fayetteville State in NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional regular-season action.
SRU (6-1) did not lose a game in five of the seven matches competed and only gave up one point in the other match.
The Rock also picked up two points by default due to Fayetteville State having only five players on their roster.
The Rock's next match will be played Sunday, when the Green and White will take on Ashland (Ohio) in a noon match in Hilton Head Island, S.C. as part of their annual spring-break trip.
SRU then takes on Millersville and Chestnut Hill Monday.
The Rock's spring trip continues through March 10 and includes five matches.
