Angela Schroeder, Julia Cain, Kelly Fischer and Jocelyn Cochran all earned qualifying marks in the pole vault to lead The Rock.

Schroeder placed fourth in the event with a clearance of 3.35 meters. Cain and Fischer matched that mark, but had more misses, to tie for fifth. Cochran placed seventh at 3.05 meters.

Kelly Bruder competed in three events for SRU, placing fifth in the shot put (9.21m), sixth in the javelin (26.96m) and seventh in the 200-meter dash (26.81 seconds).

The majority of Slippery Rock's team did not compete at Wilmington and will open the season next weekend at Coastal Carolina.
