WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Freshmen ribght-handers Lou Trivino and Ryan Oglesby each pitched five strong innings Monday afternoon to lead the Slippery Rock University baseball team to a 3-2, 10-inning win over NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional rival West Chester University at Chain O'Lakes Park.

The win snapped a string of four straight losses suffered by The Rock (6-4), who had opened the 2011 season with five straight victories and were ranked 17th last week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association national poll and 19th by the American Baseball Coaches Association

SRU then faces Ashland, which received votes in this week's ABCA national poll, in a 10:30 a.m. doubleheader Thursday before closing out the regular-season series vs. West Chester with a 4:30 p.m. single game Friday.

The Rock closes out its 11-game spring trip with a 9:30 a.m. single game Saturday vs. Mansfield.

SRU then turns its attention to the start of its home and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division schedules March 18 against defending conference champion California (Pa.).
