HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The 23rd-ranked Slippery Rock University women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win over Limestone College Wednesday to improve its season record to 9-2.
The Rock recorded 8-0 wins in two of the doubles matches and chalked up “double-bagel,” 6-0, 6-0 wins in the third through sixth singles matches.
SRU returns to the courts for a noon match vs. Palm Beach Atlantic University of Florida to close out its six-match spring trip.
The Rock, who have won four and lost one on the trip, are then idle until March 26 when they will travel to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division rival Edinboro.
The next Rock home match is scheduled for March 29 vs. PSAC-West rival Clarion.
