
Pennsylvania high school athletes posted personal bests across multiple events during recent competition.
Samantha Marcini (Westtown School) ran 11:30.61 in the 3200 meters at the 22nd Annual Unionville Invitational on April 25, improving from her previous best of 12:17.50 set in April 2026. The freshman finished 6th of 14 competitors and ranks #87 in Pennsylvania and #14 among freshmen statewide.
Trinity Miller (Derry Area) clocked 15.87 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Westmoreland County Coaches Association meet on April 23, dropping from her previous mark of 17.08. The junior placed 5th of 22 competitors and ranks #90 in the state and #25 among juniors.
Brooke Cornali (Fort Cherry) cleared 5-5 in the high jump at the Washington-Greene County Championship on April 24, improving from 5-0.25. The senior's mark set a Fort Cherry school record and earned her 2nd place among 15 competitors, ranking #12 in Pennsylvania and #7 among seniors.
Kiana Seid (Abington Heights) vaulted 11-3 at the Wyalusing Lasagna Invitational on April 24, improving from 10-0. The junior won the event among 17 competitors and ranks #25 in the state and #12 among juniors. Seid also improved her long jump personal best from 15-10 to 16-6 at the same meet.
Taylor Kenepp (Mifflin County) ran 25.95 in the 200 meters at Mifflin County vs Cumberland Valley on April 21, improving from 27.02. The sophomore placed 2nd of 19 competitors and ranks #120 in Pennsylvania and #22 among sophomores.
Angelyna McCane (Northeastern) clocked 12.56 in the 100 meters at the 18th Cy Fritz Open at Millersville on April 24, improving from 12.98. The senior finished 3rd of 47 competitors and ranks #120 in the state and #35 among seniors. McCane also improved her 200-meter personal best from 27.04 to 26.36 at the same meet.
Jolynne Daynorowicz (Council Rock South) cleared 12-1 in the pole vault at Bensalem at Council Rock South on April 20, improving from 11-9. The sophomore won the event among 8 competitors and ranks #9 in Pennsylvania and #1 among sophomores statewide. Daynorowicz also improved her long jump mark from 15-4.5 to 15-4.75.
Alexis Geiwitz (Laurel) threw 44-1.5 in the shot put at the Tri-County Championships on April 25, improving from 42-3. The senior's throw set a Laurel school record and won the event among 15 competitors, ranking #5 in Pennsylvania and #3 among seniors.
Alia Mellott (Big Spring) ran 2:16.56 in the 800 meters at the 18th Cy Fritz Open at Millersville on April 24, improving from 2:19.08. The sophomore placed 3rd of 49 competitors and ranks #37 in the state and #9 among sophomores. Mellott also improved her 400-meter personal best from 59.53 to 59.27.
Jayla Eberts (Hazleton Area) clocked 59.55 in the 400 meters at the Blue Mountain Invitational on April 24, improving from 1:00.34 set in April 2026. The senior finished 2nd of 20 competitors and ranks #109 in Pennsylvania and #37 among seniors.
