Natalie Finnerty, Katie Lally finish



Cardinal O'Hara easily won the Large Schools race at the Bulldog Invitational at Media's Rose Tree Park behind another quick 5K by senior Greg Thomas. His 15:36 is the 3rd fastest ever at the course behind former teammate Steve Hallinan and former AAA state champ Ben Showers of Henderson. O'Hara's compression was 1:25 came with 5th, 6th, 7th and 17th places to go with the one point. In the Small Schools race, Sean Mahoney of Radnor won in 16:25, but his team finished 3rd behind Wissahickon with 28 and Strath Haven with 77 points. Wissahickon was led by Doug Maisey in 2nd, a single click behind Mahoney.

Cardinal O'Hara's girls also won for the second straight week, taking the Large Schools race with 29 poiints behind the 1-2 finish (opposite last week's) of Kataie Kelly in 19:11 and Beth Kelly, 19:13. Gwynedd Mercy took the Small Schools race by 13 over Wissahickon behind the 3rd place run of Kelly McEldrew in 19:16. Marple Newtown's Natalie Finnerty was 1st in the best time of the day, 18:58.
